Our Transportation team was engaged by the Town of Dover, MA to update the Town’s pavement management program. Utilizing advanced automated technology, our team conducted field condition inspections across approximately 60 miles of Town-maintained paved roadways. Each road within the network was evaluated and assigned an industry standard 0-100 Pavement Condition Index rating and deployed utilizing ESRI GIS tools.
Deliverables for this project included an online GIS-based platform, integrating both pavement condition data with corresponding videos to serve as a tool to assist in data analysis and decision making. A summary report was also prepared and delivered to the Town, highlighting several key findings of the assessment.
The project team is currently working to develop a 3-year capital improvement plan that combines a data-driven approach with local institutional knowledge.
