Master Plan and Improvements

The Emma Willard School, one of the nation’s leading girls preparatory schools, is located on a magnificent, gothic-style, historic campus that was designed in part by Olmsted Brothers, Landscape Architects, on Mount Ida overlooking Troy.

Our landscape architects collaborated with Shepley Bulfinch in the preparation of a campus master plan update to tie the campus together and designed a series of improvements in harmony with the historic setting, including a new loop road, improved entry route, repurposing of underused preexisting buildings, and related site amenities.
