Landscape Design for One of Massachusetts’ Largest Charter School Construction Projects
In collaboration with HMFH Architects, our Halvorson | Tighe & Bond Studio developed the landscape and outdoor program for the Boston Renaissance Charter School’s 6-acre site in Hyde Park.
The school is housed in a pair of historic factory buildings, connected by a new addition designed by HMFH, and required extensive soil remediation to revitalize its once industrial site.
Halvorson designed two new playgrounds and developed the outdoor spaces, including the grading, paving, walls, curbs, plantings, and fences. At the time of its construction, Boston Renaissance was Massachusetts’ largest charter school construction project.
