Bolstering School Energy Efficiencies & Cost Savings

In 2012, the MSBA instituted an Accelerated Repair Program for the repair and/or replacement of public school roofs, windows, doors, and boilers. The program focuses on the preservation of existing assets by performing energy efficient and cost saving upgrades that result in direct operational savings for school districts. Prior to this, the MSBA launched its one-time Green Repair Program in 2010.

Serving School Districts Across the Commonwealth

As a pre-approved MSBA designer, Tighe & Bond has been providing energy efficient repairs to multiple schools and districts across the Commonwealth for more than six years. We have performed a range of roof, window, door, and mechanical system/boiler improvements for schools in Greenfield, Brockton, Orleans, Palmer, Swansea, Wareham, Westfield, and Worcester.

These energy efficient and cost saving upgrades have included the removal of existing boilers (and associated piping and electrical components), and new high efficiency boiler replacement. We have also provided services for the removal and replacement of windows, as well as the replacement of existing roofing systems.

Services Snapshot

In addition to electrical, mechanical, and HVAC engineering services, our services include civil and structural engineering. As needed, we also provide asbestos and hazardous materials consultation.
