Setting the Stage for Project Success

A critical foundation of any building project – whether new construction or renovation – is establishing that the existing site is free from harmful levels of pollution. Environmental assessments and hazardous building materials consultation provide this type of information. If needed, remediation can go a long way towards making contaminated sites suitable for work and occupancy.

Comprehensive Environmental Services

For more than ten years, our team has provided comprehensive environmental management services to Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH). This includes services that support YNHH as it examines potential land acquisitions for future development. Additionally, we have supported building renovation and demolition projects by providing hazardous building materials consultation. Meeting client needs in the most cost efficient manner is essential.

Services Snapshot

Tighe & Bond provides environmental assessments to identify any existing or potential environmental conditions on the site. If environmental conditions are identified, we develop a site specific scope of services to assess the conditions further.  We also perform hazardous building material assessments (HBMA), as well as abatement design and monitoring, as part of these comprehensive services. Our evaluations assist YNHH with identifying if asbestos-containing materials (ACM), lead-based paint, and building materials that may contain polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) exist so we can then provide opinions of probable abatement and mitigation costs.
