Tighe & Bond provided site/civil, traffic, parking, environmental and surveying services for a new $15 million, 40,000 square foot Community Health Center located at the north end of Main Street in Middletown, Connecticut. Tighe & Bond worked with the project architect and land use attorney to obtain City land use approvals within a month from submitting the site plan approval application. Work included a detailed parking report, site utility design, soil erosion, and sedimentation control, and pavement marking and signage plan.
The project was constructed in two phases. The first phase included the demolition of three properties along Grand Street and the construction of a temporary parking lot. Tighe & Bond prepared all demolition & abatement documents, obtained City approvals, and provided construction administration services. In addition, Tighe & Bond provided all coordination with City staff during the Phase I project approval.
Phase two included the construction of the 40,000 square foot four-story Community Health Center building, a new City parking lot and various improvements along Main Street. In addition to design elements, Tighe & Bond provided local coordination with all city and state departments such as planning, engineering, water & sewer, police, traffic, and CTDOT District I.
