Siting & Permitting Support for Underground Transmission Line

To improve reliability in the greater Boston area, Eversource Energy proposed to install a new 115 kV transmission line between their existing Andrew Square Substation and Dewar Street Substation in the South Boston and Dorchester neighborhoods of Boston, Massachusetts. Tighe & Bond completed a routing analysis for the two-mile underground transmission line, developed petitions to the Energy Facility Siting Board (EFSB) and Department of Public Utilities, and provided expert witness testimony in support of these filings.

Tighe & Bond also supported environmental permitting, developed Temporary Traffic Control Plans, performed soil and groundwater pre-characterization, provided Licensed Site Professional (LSP) support, conducted Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspections, and provided landscape services for site restoration.
