Adjacent to the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, The Reactory is a 46-acre biomanufacturing campus developed on the former Worcester State Hospital site. Our firm provided geotechnical and environmental services to WuXi Biologics for the development of its $60 million facility, the company’s first in North America.
Services included environmental due diligence, subsurface soil and groundwater investigations, installation of monitoring wells, and GIS data collection. The team delivered recommendations for soil and groundwater management, cost opinions, and permitting strategies, along with geotechnical design guidance for foundations, slabs, drainage, pavement, and earth pressures.
During construction, our team continues to provide environmental services, including Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan compliance monitoring, Remediation General Permit compliance sampling and reporting, as well as construction monitoring of excavated soils.
