Meeting the MEP/FP Needs of an Expanding Brewery

Tree House Brewing Company’s 130,000 SF facility in Charlton consists of a brewery, warehouse, and retail space, which draw visitors nationally. Our engineers provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP/FP) engineering services for multiple expansion projects that required infrastructure enhancements to accommodate the increased demand.

Initial work supported a 16,000 SF addition for expanded retail and bar areas, a 2,000 SF mezzanine above the production floor to enhance visitor experience, and a new patio that connects to on-site hiking trails. Our team designed MEP/FP systems that included high-efficiency air-source heat pumps for office space and upgrades to fire alarm systems.

Subsequent work included the design of an expanded cooler and kitchen facility to support retail operations, and a 5,000 SF spirits distillation build-out with specialized systems for H-3 occupancy. Services included electrical distribution, lighting, fire alarm, plumbing systems for propane and water, and HVAC systems for the distillery and compressor rooms.
