Speakers, Moderators, and Awardees at 2026 NEWEA Annual Conference

Our water and wastewater team will participate in several presentations at the New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA) Annual Conference from January 25 to 28 in Boston.

On Monday, Prashanth Emmanuel will kick off the first of our speaking sessions to discuss our work on improving facility resiliency in Stratford, Connecticut. Rachel Tenney and Michael Trovato will also join the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) to discuss a recent report on PFAS testing at publicly owned wastewater facilities across Massachusetts. Todd Brown will co-present, with MassDEP and Brown & Caldwell, a recent report on the future of wastewater sludge management in Massachusetts.

Tuesday’s sessions will feature a presentation by Jess DeJesus and Richard Widman about an underground sewer pipeline case study from Sturbridge, Massachusetts. Dan Roop, Elizabeth Hanna, and Trent Guihan will also join Upper Blackstone Clean Water to highlight a case study on leveraging digital solutions for asset management. Matt Stanley and Prashanth Emmanuel will serve as session moderators.

Vice President Adam Yanulis has been named one of the 2026 recipients of NEWEA’s Alfred E. Peloquin Award and will be recognized at the Awards Ceremony & Luncheon on Wednesday. The Alfred E.
