Jean Christy has more than two decades of experience in management, design, permitting, and construction of civil engineering design projects. She also serves as a Technical Director for Tighe & Bond’s Land Use Business Line, specializing in site/civil engineering. Jean’s expertise has enabled her to work on projects ranging from site and roadway design to complex stormwater management analyses. She is a recognized professional in Massachusetts and Connecticut with her understanding of hydrology and hydraulics, and compliance with both local and state regulations.
Her professional interests in green infrastructure and low-impact development approaches to stormwater management are advantageous in urban and campus-centric designs. In addition, Jean regularly provides third-party reviews to communities throughout Massachusetts in their review of complex land-use and environmental permit applications.
Jean was recognized by Western Massachusetts’ BusinessWest as a 40 Under 40 leader in 2019.
Life Outside of Work
When not working with her team at Tighe & Bond, Jean is dedicating her time to her non-profit. In 2016, she founded Three’s Company T1D Support in honor of her three children. The organization’s mission is to raise awareness about type 1 diabetes and provide support for families living with the disease. Through this non-profit, Jean and her family organize fundraising events to support research for a cure and better treatment of the disease.
