James has over 30 years of experience in providing environmental assessment/remediation, permitting, and abatement/demolition services to private and public clients. These services have typically been related to large-scale redevelopment, brownfields, and renovation projects. Serving as a Vice President and as Technical Director of the Environmental Business Line, James has played a major role in developing the business line, setting the technical direction and ensuring Tighe & Bond is providing state of the art technical services and quality deliverables to our clients. James is also the Project Director for most of Tighe and Bond’s environmental projects in Connecticut including site assessment, remediation, hazardous building material assessment and abatement, and demolition.
James has also been active in several professional organizations consisting of the Environmental Professionals Organization of Connecticut, the Environmental Business Council, and is an accredited trainer for the American Institute of Architects. James is also a Professional Geologist in New York.
Life Outside of Work
Outside of work, James often enjoys traveling, hiking, fishing, culinary arts, historical research, industrial archaeology, and collectibles. He enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing his hobbies and is also able to volunteer his time to the Connecticut River Conservancy and the Connecticut Forest and Park Association.
