Groundbreaking for Westford PFAS Treatment Facilities

We joined the Town of Westford, MA to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Forge Village and Nutting Road PFAS Treatment Facilities. The new treatment systems will include media adsorption using Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) to remove PFAS in the Town’s water supply following existing iron and manganese filtration, treating approximately 3 million gallons of water per day at each facility.
Our water engineers designed two 4,500 SF buildings that will be constructed next to the existing treatment plants. The new treatment systems will improve the Town’s drinking water delivery capacity, and the project will also allow the Westford Water Department to return the currently offline Country Road Well back to service.
