2026 NEWWA Spring Conference

Don’t miss our technical speaking sessions at the upcoming New England Water Works Association (NEWWA) Spring Regional Conference and Exhibition, taking place at the DCU Center. 

  • Mary Danielson and Kristen Chan will kick off the first presentations on Wednesday to discuss our use of trenchless technologies along a major transmission line in Harvard and Winchendon, MA.
  • Colin Powers will present with the City of Chicopee, MA about our work on Phase I of the Bemis Pond Dam Removal and Abbey Brook Restoration that removed an aging dam, restored stream flow through Szot Park, and created a new public recreation space.  
  • Danielle Teixeira and Megan Olson will highlight the design of the Worcester Street Water Treatment Plant, currently under construction for the Grafton Water District in Grafton, MA to address complex groundwater conditions through a phased pilot and integrated treatment approach.  
  • On Thursday, Meghan Trahan will join our client, Aquarion Water Company, to discuss a unique and challenging water main design and construction project in a coastal neighborhood with the Town of Hampton, NH.  
  • Scott Smith will provide a detailed analysis of the proposed OSHA Heat and Injury Illness Prevention standard currently under review.  
  • Derek Belanger will conclude our sessions by discussing how a simple wellfield replacement project in Littleton, MA transformed into a new water treatment plant following the discovery of PFAS in one of the wells. 

Joe Popielarczyk will also serve as a moderator and assistant moderator for sessions.
