West Sheffield Road in Great Barrington, MA has fully reopened to the public, following an extensive construction effort that kicked off earlier this year.
Our engineers provided services to support the realignment of approximately 500 feet of roadway following a slope failure that reduced travel to one lane of alternating traffic. Our scope included an initial evaluation to determine current conditions, followed by geotechnical engineering, drainage improvements, roadway design, bid assistance, and construction phase services.
Now complete, the road has been restored to two lanes of traffic with improved infrastructure to support safer travel along this rural road.
