New Pocket Park in Quincy, MA Highlights Civic History

Ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new John Quincy Adams statue and pocket park.

On Saturday, we joined our client, the City of Quincy, for the dedication of a new park designed by our landscape architects. The new park, featuring a bronze statue of President John Quincy Adams, is the latest accomplishment in the City’s dedicated efforts to create open spaces that celebrate its illustrious past.

The park includes a paved walkway centered around the statue, as well as new trees flowers, and other plantings. Four bronze plaques mounted on granite bases tell the story of Quincy Adams’ career as a diplomat, Secretary of State, United States President, and as a U.S. Congressman.

The new green space and seating provide an attractive setting for events and recreation, and the park’s historical focus allows the City to showcase its presidential heritage, creating a focal point for cultural tourism and civic pride.
