Culvert Tour Assists Community Resiliency Efforts
Senior Project Manager Andrea Lacasse and Project Engineer Marissa Mottolese recently supported a culvert training with Massachusetts Division of Ecological Restoration for communities looking to replace undersized and underperforming culverts. This session offered guidance to municipalities in planning and designing culvert upgrade projects to improve public safety and resiliency, pass larger storm flows, and restore natural river function, while navigating project costs and complex permitting processes.
During this training, hosted by the Town of Palmer, Andrea and Marissa also guided participants on a field tour of a recent DER-funded culvert project our team is leading.
