We’ve organized our firm into distinct business lines with a range of capabilities that integrate into a comprehensive consulting solution. We continue to build our in-house technical expertise to help clients plan, design, construct, maintain, and operate properties throughout their lifecycle, both in the built and natural environment. Our capabilities are both broad and deep, and span five core business lines:
- Building Services – Our integrated building services include mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design (MEP/FP); energy analysis and modeling; structural and geotechnical engineering; and managing real estate assets through GIS. We produce practical and impactful structures that stand the test of time and empower communities to thrive.
- Environment – With services from site assessment/remediation and materials management, to wetlands and ecological services, to building sciences, regulatory compliance, and health and safety, we deliver environmental solutions and strategies that drive compliance, reduce risk, and promote environmental stewardship.
- Land Use – Our integrated land use services – which encompass planning, civil/site design, landscape architecture, renewable energy, and coastal and waterfront engineering – ensure that land is used efficiently and safely while also meeting each client’s economic, environmental, and social objectives.
- Transportation – We deliver safe, efficient traffic transportation solutions that keep communities connected by partnering closely with state DOTs, municipalities, and private clients to leverage our deep expertise in roadways, highways, bridges, culverts, trails, and greenways.
- Water – We partner closely with clients to deliver innovative drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, dam, and ecological restoration solutions that help communities mitigate risk, maximize resources, drive resilience, and support public health.
Honoring our legacy, building our future.
Our story began in 1911. James Tighe, a first-generation Irish immigrant, launched his own engineering practice in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Philip Bond later joined Tighe, and together they shaped the foundation for our firm’s bright future.
