Medusa Brewing Company retained Tighe & Bond for the design of their production facility in Hudson, Massachusetts. Tighe & Bond provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection services (MEP/FP) in cooperation with the project Architect, Austin Design, Inc.
The new Medusa Brewing Company facility will be constructed on a vacant lot at the corner of Houghton Street and South Street in Hudson, Massachusetts. The proposed 14,500 square foot facility will consist of primarily brewhouse space, but will also include some limited retail, storage, and employee support spaces.
Key design features include high-efficiency packaged rooftop units (RTUs) providing heating and air conditioning, a 350-kW natural gas-fired standby generator, LED lighting, process-specific ventilation systems, plumbing systems, fire alarm, and fire protection sprinkler systems.
