Marina Fernandes, P.E., LEED AP Joins Tighe & Bond’s Water Practice
Broad Technical and Project Management Expertise Supports Public and Private Client Needs Across the Region
Tighe & Bond, a Northeast leader in engineering and environmental consulting announced today that Marina Fernandes, P.E., LEED AP has joined the firm. Fernandes is a civil engineer with more than 12 years of experience leading the development, design and construction of various wastewater rehabilitation projects and planning studies.
Her expertise includes infiltration and inflow, combined sewer overflow, sewer system overflow, illicit discharge detection and elimination, as well as stormwater management. She also provides utility planning, asset management, infrastructure rehabilitation, pump station evaluation, facilities plan implementation, and engineering construction management. Her technical skills are further augmented by her strong management and communication skills. She is also fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Fernandes has authored eight papers on numerous topics such as private inflow removal design and constructability, lateral lining in sewer rehabilitation, and oxygen concentration gradients. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, and her Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
