The American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA) presented Tighe & Bond and the Town of North Attleborough with a Bronze Award during its 2015 Engineering Excellence and Awards Gala on March 18 at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge. This annual competition recognizes recent engineering achievements that demonstrate the highest degree of merit, ingenuity, complexity, and client satisfaction.

This month, Tighe & Bond increased its Worcester office space at the Santander Bank Tower on Main Street by 50 percent to keep pace with its ongoing staffing growth at that location. In addition to its established 13th floor location, the firm now also occupies newly renovated office space on the 6th floor of the Santander’s South Tower. David Cedarholm, P.E. joined Tighe & Bond this month as a senior project manager working out of the firm’s Portsmouth, New Hampshire office.

A civil engineer, Cedarholm brings 26 years of experience in water resources, wastewater, stormwater, and asset management to Tighe & Bond clients. During this time, he has focused on serving New Hampshire municipalities. For more than eight years he served as the engineer for the Town of Durham’s Public Works Department, and before that collaborated with numerous other municipalities on a wide range of projects as an engineering consultant.

Earlier this summer, Boston Community Capital completed its Mill Street solar project in Gardner, Mass. The resulting one megawatt ground mounted solar array, which was developed in conjunction with the City of Gardner and the Gardner Redevelopment Authority, is part of Gardner’s Mill Street Urban Renewal Plan.
