Tighe & Bond recently published the results of its 2013 Connecticut Water and Sewer Rate Surveys. The results from these latest surveys indicate that residential users in Connecticut pay approximately $467 and $406 annually for water and sewer respectively. Craig Yannes, P.E., a project engineer who works out of Tighe & Bond’s Shelton, Connecticut office, recently earned his Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification from the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE). This national certification represents the attainment of the specialized knowledge, skills and abilities required for traffic operations engineering. Last month, Methuen’s Mayor Stephen Zanni, and Borrego Solar Systems officials led a tour to celebrate the installation of a 1.3 megawatt solar energy system on top of the former Huntington Avenue Landfill in Methuen, Massachusetts. Methuen’s past mayor, William Manzi, who was also instrumental in this initiative, participated in leading the tour as well.
